There is a New Test for Lyme Disease in Dogs

Canine SNAP 3DX

Tests for all the following:

  • Erlichia Canis (tick transmitted disease)
  • Lyme Disease (tick transmitted disease)
  • Heartworm (mosquito transmitted disease)

We recommend you test your dog once a year!

The SNAP 3DX test is extremely accurate in detecting Lyme disease in dogs even if they don't show any symptoms. This is because the tests looks for C6 antibodies that are only present due to actual infection, not as a reaction to the vaccine - very helpful for dogs who have been vaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown.

If you get a positive on the SNAP 3DX test, a follow-up test should be done, called the Lyme Quantitative C6 Antibody test. This will establish the baseline values we'll want to monitor as we treat, making it a useful tool for therapy and not just diagnosis.

  • SNAP 3DX $29.00
  • Lyme Quantitative C6 Antibody test $68.50

SAVE MONEY!

There is no need to run a separate Heartworm test ($22) since it is included in the SNAP 3DX
