Potomac Animal Hospital is equipped with separate, spacious boarding facilities for your cat or dog. All animals are examined by our Doctors and our veterinary technicians on a regular basis. Our canine visitors are exercised every 2-3 hours in our indoor runs. Meanwhile, our feline visitors are in a separate, quiet room in their individual condos. VIP accommodations are available upon request. We can also board your hamsters, guinea pigs, or other small friends upon request. However, you will need to supply the cage, all bedding and food.
Due to the sudden increase in boarding reservations, Potomac Animal Hospital is requiring a $50 per pet deposit to reserve the boarding reservation. We are also instituting a 72 hour cancellation policy. All boarding reservations that are not cancelled at least 72 hours in advance will be not refunded the deposit.

Diet
Potomac Animal Hospital will be charging a small fee of $7.50 daily for any diet you request we feed your dog during their stay with us that is not our regular maintenance product. Our maintenance product is Hill's Sensitive Skin and Stomach mixed with a variety of Hills Adult Maintenance canned food. We recommend this diet because it is bland and highly digestible which makes it well tolerated. This change is due to the increasing cost of the assorted prescription diets we carry. There will be no extra charge to feed any diet that you provide while your pet is boarding. We prefer you to pack each individual meal in a ziplock baggie for ease of feeding.
We cannot feed raw diets at our boarding facility.

Peace of mind
Potomac Animal Hospital operates continuously during power outages. When we expanded our hospital in 1997, we installed an industrial generator, large enough to operate the entire hospital. Potomac Animal Hospital is entirely self-sufficient. We are available to serve your emergency needs and those of your neighbors and their pets everyday regardless of the weather or community emergencies. In the case of power outage, there could be an additional $11.50 per day fee to help offset the cost of emergency generator fuel.
